Historically known as "Willowbrook," this charming stone manor house cottage was the home of Vera Petrocet, author and one of the first female radio program hosts in the 40's. It is the closest thing to an English cottage that you will find in Arkansas! Willowbrook Cottage offers two choices for charming and romantic getaways. The major part of the manor house is the Willowbrook Garden Cottage, and the right wing and loft are the Willowbrook Nest. Set in 10 acres of woods and flower gardens, each has its own grounds with a bubbling brook (and waterfall except in driest weeks of summer). Whether you choose the Willowbrook Garden Cottage or the Willowbrook Nest, you will agree with one guest who wrote in the guest book, "I felt like I was in the middle of a romance novel..."
Rent the Cottage and sit in loveseat swing by the gurgling stream, wander through the flower gardens (in season), bask in the sun of the zoyzia lawn.
The Willowbrook Garden Cottage has 6 rooms, including living room with fp, fully equipped kitchen, glassed garden room, 2 queen bedrooms, and two full baths, one with Jacuzzi bathtub. Outside is large charcoal BBQ smoker/cooker, stream with waterfall, ten acres of woods and flower gardens. The rate is $160 per night, with 10% discount for week-long stays (some peak and holidays excluded). You don’t share living or kitchen areas with anyone else. $100 deposit holds until 4 weeks prior to arrival.
The Willowbrook Nest is an incredibly charming English style apartment in the right wing and loft of the Willowbrook manor house, separated from the Willowbrook Garden Cottage unit. It has one loft queen bedroom, Jacuzzi bathtub and shower, 2nd story private deck, kitchen, sunroom, den/study with cable TV, vcr/dvd, and loads of books, and a private patio. The rate is $145 per night, 10% discount for week-long stays (some peak and holidays excluded). Surrounded by a stone and ivy fence, the ten acres is landscaped with roses and perrennials, and has a waterfall and wooded hillside just behind the cottage. Springtime at Willowbrook is the most magical time of all, with a profusion of azaleas, irises, and many other flowers. It is like stepping into another dimension, reminiscent of old England.

Sunnybrook Cabin: (pictured left) A cute cabin that sleeps 6, has fridge/freezer, stove, sink, dishes, linens, bathtub, shower, dvd/vcr, bbq, with large shady lot, privacy fence, stream, wooded hillsides front and back. 95 per night, double occupancy, additional persons $10. Woodhaven Cabin: Is in a clearing in the woods, it is a large one-room cabin with queen bed downstairs plus king or 2 singles in loft, living area with VCR and CD and fireplace; kitchenette and eating area; Jacuzzi garden tub in bathroom, plus shower. Outside is small charcoal BBQ cooker/smoker and picnic table. Wireless Internet. $135 per night, double occupancy, additional persons $10 |
