Comments by Guests of the Captain's Inn
"This evening before sunset we saw several things from the wonderful windows in this room. There were many Shearwaters (all sooty) gathering over the ocean. As the tide rose, 4 harbor seals took to the water and swam out to feed. The Pintail meeting at the edge of the water close by defended their nest from the Great Blue Heron. Six different species of shorebirds were in view at the same time. The Caspian Terns' bill lit up in the colors of sunset. It's great that the glass is easy to look through!! Wait 'til dawn for the best with the sun behind you! All the birds can be studied with a telescope from the edge of the bed. Then have breakfast and a boat ride or hike around the loop." Rod, Texas ... who was staying in the Boathouse of Captain's Inn.
