Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse is an historic bed & breakfast inn offering full
gourmet breakfasts and beautifully furnished accommodations.

John Dennen built the Victorian Farmhouse in 1877 for himself, his wife Dora, and their family. It is operated year round as a bed & breakfast by new owners, Jo Bradley and Fred Cox. They offer affordable luxury from elegant linens and big fluffy towels to a full gourmet breakfast served to your room each morning.

Each of the 12 guestrooms offers elegant linens, feather beds, big fluffy towels and an incredible gourmet breakfast served in the privacy of your room each morning.

Selected rooms offer fireplace or woodstove, Jacuzzi tub, CD player and television.

The Main House offers 4 guest rooms and the lovely parlor where you can enjoy Home is Where the Heart is II, a painting of the farmhouse by well-known painter Thomas Kinkade pictured above

The Carriage House Building includes the original Carriage House, as well as Forest View, Seabreeze, Tree View, and Creekside Rooms.

Tucked behind the other buildings, the third building, affectionately known as The Barn, offers quiet seclusion in the Wicker and Orchard View Rooms.

The fourth building is Quail Cottage, a private haven located at the top of the back meadow. Quail Cottage features a wood-burning fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, full kitchen and amazing forest and ocean vistas.

The cottage has all this and a fully equipped kitchen, telescope, binoculars, hair dryer, iron and board, DVD, and phone with data port.

Breakfasts can consist of quiches, stratas, eggs benedicts, streudels, and fritattas, accompanied by fresh fruits and juices, homemade muffins and breads, and our signature coffee. Jo and Fred also pride themselves on catering to their guests' special dietary needs whether you are vegetarian, truly allergic, or have a medically restricted diet. They strive to obtain the freshest and, when possible, organic ingredients for the breakfasts they serve.

A five minute walk takes you to nearby Buckhorn Cove with its beautiful tide pools and rock formations.

The Pacific Ocean never ceases to amaze us. Everchanging, it offers something for everyone — photo opportunities for the photographer, whale watching expeditions and bird watching trips for the nature enthusiast, peaceful coves and crashing surf for beachcombers, and magnificent ocean views for everyone.

Enjoy strolling our grounds amongst the mature cypress and redwood trees. We have cool summers, mild winters, clean fresh air, and a serene environment. Unwind from your work-a-day world on our two beautiful acres dotted with orchards and gardens, and edged with a year-round creek.

The historic village of Mendocino, first settled in the mid-1800's, is just minutes away and offers an eclectic mix of art galleries, shops, restaurants, museums, and performing arts. Stroll the wooden walkways and soak up its olde New England charm. You'll find there's always something going on in Mendocino.

Whether you're in the area to visit nearby Mendocino, go whale watching, sample some of the area's fine wines, or just to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean and relax on our beautiful grounds, you'll find this area has all the ingredients for a perfect vacation or romantic getaway.

Area Recreational Opportunities

Take a scenic trip through the redwoods on the California Western Railroad's Skunk Train. A trip from Fort Bragg to Willits on the restored rail cars makes a day trip you'll never forget.
Visit the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, the only public garden in the continental United States fronting directly on the ocean. Located between Mendocino and Fort Bragg.
Go deep sea fishing for salmon and albacore or snorkel for abalone.
Play golf, go sea kayaking, canoe on the Big River, mountain bike the trails, scuba dive, or join one of the many bird and whale watching trips.
Not feeling that active? Enjoy a day visiting antique shops and an evening of fine dining!

Rates and Policies

Room rates range from $135 - $235 per night; we offer many specials and off-season rates as well.
Based on single or double occupancy, county taxes not included.
Each additional person: $25.
Rates subject to change without notice.
Check-in: 3:00 pm, Check-out: 11 am.
Regrettably, no pets allowed anywhere on the property.
Unsuitable for children under 12.
Reservation secured when we receive one night's deposit prior to your arrival. Balance of payment due upon arrival.
Two nights minimum required on weekends.
Three or four-night minimum required on major holiday weekends.
Smoking is not allowed in our rooms.
Cleaning and/or damage fees assessed if necessary.
Cancellation fee on all cancellations is $20.
Early departure, or cancellation 7 days or less in advance, charged full rate for each night we are unable to rebook.
