For those who cherish the renewing power of California's wild and beautiful North Coast, the Award-Winning North Coast Country Inn Bed and Breakfast is a haven to be returned to again and again.

Located on the famous California Highway 1, along the Mendocino Coast, this Bed and Breakfast is near San Francisco and Santa Rosa.

The property was once part of a coastal sheep ranch. Fruit trees still flourish in the lower garden - all that remains of the old ranch orchard. Guests may stroll among the flowers and fruit trees in the lower gardens or wander up the hill to a romantic redwood gazebo and sitting deck in a grassy glen surrounded by towering pine trees.  This area is a perfect site for small weddings.

Each of the six spacious guestrooms has a king or queen sized bed, fireplace, dining area, private bathroom and sitting area where guests may relax and enjoy the fire with a glass of wine.

Rates: $195 to $225

The room rate includes a full, hearty and delicious breakfast! When guests arrive, there is a bottle of wine and Ghiradelli chocolates waiting.

Along a secluded fern-covered hillside path under the tall pines, guests enjoy the peaceful privacy of the hot tub. The hot tub enclosure is built around a towering pine tree, while the hot tub is set into a two level redwood deck and offers guests complete privacy. During the day or under the stars, the guests are invited to relax in the soothing warm water and feel their tensions disappear.

This cluster of rustic, but luxurious redwood buildings is nestled into a forested hillside with views of the ocean.

Pristine beaches everyone loves Mendocino County for its splendid coastline, its rocky tide-pool-favoring pocket coves overseen by Monterey cypress, pine and redwoods. Anchor Bay, a little south and across the street from the Inn, is protected from the nearly-relentless winds that blow out of the northwest. pristine beachesThe beach at Anchor Bay has a wide open sandy stretch at one end and a rocky cove, with its own little waterfall bouncing down a cliff that ends in a tumble of stones, at the other. It's not unusual to look out and see solid whitecaps against giant swells moving down the coast. Anchor Bay, once known as Fish Rock Landing, was one of the coast's dogholes where schooners were loaded with tan bark and railroad ties from a chute on the west point. The protected waters have continued to be a haven for today's commercial fishermen.

Weddings at the North Coast Country Inn are a very private and intimate affair.  We usually reserve the inn completely for the couple and wedding party.  The 6 rooms accommodate 12  - 14 people.  The upper meadow is a perfect location for the ceremony and refreshments.  Arrangements can easily be made for champagne and cheese receptions, local flowers and photography.   ALL welcome! Please call for more details and/or exclusively designed packages.

Policies
  • ROOMS: All rates are double occupancy and include a full breakfast.  Taxes are not included in room rates.
  • Check-in time is between 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Arrangements for early or late check-in must be made in advance.
  • Check-out: 11:00 am.
  • There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends, unless otherwise noted.
  • We will gladly accommodate additional guests, in an appropriate room, for a charge of $35.00 per night, per guest.
  • All rooms are non-smoking.  Guests smoking in the rooms will be charged an extra nights fee, while we return the room to non-smoking status. 
  • Damages to room, contents and/or grounds are the responsibility of the guest.
  • We welcome young people over 12 years old.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY:  If you wish to cancel your reservation, we must receive notice no later than 72 hours prior to your reservation and a $25.00 processing fee applies.  With less than 72 hours notice, guests will be charged for 1 nights stay at the reserved room full price rate.  No shows and early departures are the responsibility of the guest and payment for the entire reservation is required.

  • PETS: Dogs are welcome, in appropriate rooms and with advance notice, for an additional fee of $35.00 per dog per night.  We ask you to keep your pet on a leash, at least by the driveway areas, to avoid them from running out into traffic or straying away.  We also ask you to not leave your pet unattended in the rooms, as chewing or extreme saddness might occur.  We also ask the guests to clean up after their pets.
