An 1891 era Queen Anne Victorian in
the heart of the arts, culture, and
history of south central Connecticut.
Commissioned by a silver baron for a wedding gift to his daughter, this
three story grand Queen Anne victorian still holds the beautiful
detailing of its historic era. Built in 1891, this 6600 square
foot Queen Anne Victorian mansion is nestled in a well established, quiet
neighborhood. Distinguished by its unique and historical architecture, the house features
a large front porch, balconies, and three story conical tower.

the well proportioned Margaret room to the large Georgianna Suite, each oversized room has
an eclectic selection of furnishings to provide for your comfort. |
Three room suites have extra space for extended stays, or additional
sleeping for families traveling together. Modern amenities include free in room cable TV
and high speed internet access, individual temperature controls, and whirlpool tubs in our
two newest bathroom additions. Rates start at $129 per night, with a full breakfast each
morning.

As full time Innkeepers, we like to chat with our guests over breakfast.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the music as you sip hot coffee or tea and enjoy the sun
filtering through the curved, multi paned widows of the dining room. A full breakfast is
prepared from your menu selections and served on fine china. Join us for breakfast, or
take it with you.

Shop, dine, dance, and play as you explore the culture and history of Connecticut.
Begin by taking a stroll down Main Street past historic structures, some over 300 years
old, evidence of Wallingford's early beginnings. Small specialty and
antique shops line this quaint town's streets. Zagat rated restaurants
invite you to dine, and explore local flavors and entertainment.
Broadway entertainment can be found only one mile away at the state of the art Chevrolet
Theatre. The local vineyard is just a few miles outside of town, centered in the
heart of Connecticut's Wine Trail.
Nearby parks and rivers offer old fashioned fun. National treasures such as the Peabody
Museum, Yale University, and Mark Twain's home are a short
drive.

- Deposit:
For most reservations: Deposit required - one night's charge in advance.
For Special Events, group bookings and affairs, or reservations made 14 days or less prior
to arrival - the total due is charged in advance.
VISA, MasterCard, Discover credit cards, may be used for the deposit. Cash, money order or
personal check also accepted with credit card information as a guarantee.
- Cancellations:
We will make every effort to reschedule your visit or provide a certificate
toward future stays.
Deposit minus fees will be refunded ONLY if notice of cancellation is given via email or
in writing in the time noted below, and we are able to refill the rooms you had reserved.
Most reservations require 14 days advance notice. Special events, extended stays, group
bookings and affairs require 120 days notice.
Partial cancellation may be treated as a cancellation for the entire stay. No refunds for
late arrivals or early departures. All Cancellations are subject to 20% fees.
- Check In:
Between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Early check in may be arranged with advance notice
only; subject to a $25 charge. Arrangements may be made for late arrivals, with advance
notice only please.
- Check Out:
Monday through Saturday = Before 11 AM. Sunday = Before 10:45 AM. You may retain
the room until 1 pm, for an additional $50 charge, if it does not conflict with other
reservations. Please make late departure requests as soon as possible. Departure after
1:00 pm is considered another day's stay. Failure to check out before the scheduled time
without prior arrangements, will result in a minimum $25 charge.
- Room Guarantee:
Due to our limited size, it is difficult for us to hold a specific room for one
night stays. An additional surcharge may be required to guarantee a specific room for
stays of only one night.
- Children traveling with Families:
Well behaved children are welcomed; subject to suite availability. Charges:
$15/child/night for over two people in a suite. Additional charges will be added for any
accidents or damages. Prior notice is required, and some dates may be unavailable.
- We offer Dog Friendly Lodging:
Our first floor suite with private outside access from the back yard is great for
dogs. Advance notice is required.
A pet charge of $20.00 the first day, and $10.00 each day thereafter is required.
Additional charges will be added for any accidents or damages.
Dog must be leashed or carried at all times when they are out of the room. They may stay
in the room alone if a crate is used; and they are not overly noisy.
Current immunization records may be requested. If these guidelines are cannot be met, we
will assist you in looking for other lodging for your dog.
- No Smoking in the house - Please:
We prefer to keep our home smoke free. Porches and balonies off some of our rooms
are available for our smokers. Be sure to request a room with balcony, or feel free to use
the large front porch. Please use the ashtrays provided. It will be necessary to charge
additional cleaning fees equal to one night's lodging to those who smoke in the house.
