Siam Garden Resort is hidden on a quiet residential street
in the heart of historic Anna Maria Village.

Like Key West Florida, Provincetown Massachusetts, Cape May New Jersey and Montauk Long Island this is the end of the road. Anna Maria town is hidden at the tip of a seven-mile long island with a five hundred year history.  Ensconced at the private northern end of Anna Maria Island, this tranquil remnant of "Old Florida" is far away from high-rise condos, fast-food franchises and tourist traffic.

Anna Maria's history begins in 1513 with a man and a tale familiar to us all - Ponce de Leon's quest for the Fountain of Youth. This mythical spring was reputed to have the powers to cure illness and to give eternal youth. As an added incentive to discovery, the fountain was supposedly surrounded with gold and silver.

In that journey, he discovered Florida itself on Easter Sunday, naming it "Pascua de Florida" which means "Feast of Flowers", the Spanish name for this holy day. His quest continued as he journeyed up the Gulf Coast of Florida nearly five hundred years ago and named our small island Ana-Maria-Cay to honor the Virgin Mary and her mother Anne.

The resort offers fifteen luxury apartments that encircle tropical gardens filled with swaying coconut palms, exotic flowering plants, art objects and a 42-foot heated pool. Most ground level units also have private gardens.

All units include king or queen beds.

Most units have a comfortable futon sleeper sofa in the living room.

Amenities

  • ARTWORK – All units are decorated with select pieces of artwork, including original art from Thailand and around the world.
  • BATHROOMS – All units have newly remodeled bathrooms.  Premium units 6-11 have extra large tile showers with pedestal sinks and luxury dual showers.
  • CABLE TV – All units include at least one color television with cable access. All units have VCR or DVD.
  • CLIMATE CONTROL – Each unit has its own climate control system with heat and air-conditioning.
  • GARDENS – All units have access to our large central garden and pool area. Many units have private gardens with outside table and chairs.
  • HOUSEKEEPING – We provide immaculate apartments at check-in and guests maintain them during their stay. Each unit has cleaning utensils and we are happy to provide additional items as needed. Linen exchange is available during office hours. Guests are expected to leave apartments, particularly kitchens, in orderly condition upon departure.
  • KITCHENS – All units have kitchens that include a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster as well as a complete inventory of cookware, utensils, flatware, plates, knives, etc. Note: Studio #3 has all of the above items plus a toaster oven because it does not have an oven or range.
  • LAUNDRY – There are coin washers and dryers on the premises.
  • POOL – Our emerald green pool, situated in our coconut grove, is one of the largest on the island (42 feet long). As a state licensed commercial pool safety regulations must be enforced.
  • TELEPHONE – Our units do not have private telephones. NEW: We have 802.11b Broadband Wireless Internet on property. Guests must provide their own compatible wireless card and configure their own systems.

From the resort’s central location it’s just a short stroll to city fishing piers, unique shopping, historic sites, the best restaurants on the island and miles of sandy, white beaches on the Gulf and Tampa Bay. Opportunities for cycling, shelling, bird watching and boating abound.

Policies

OCCUPANCY - All rates are based on double occupancy per bedroom. Our only two-bedroom apartment is #8, which is based on four-person occupancy. Additional persons, including children, are charged at $10 per night or $50 per week, including linen and pool privileges. NOTE: None of our apartments accommodate more than 4 persons.

ALL ROOMS ARE NON-SMOKING WITH NO PETS. Our private gardens, exterior patios and balconies will accommodate your smoking needs.

WEEKLY ADVANCE RESERVATIONS - A deposit of 50% of the first week and 25% of each additional week confirms your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival.

DAILY ADVANCE RESERVATIONS - Based on availability, we offer apartments for daily rental. Due to apartment cleaning expenses we require a 2 night minimum stay (up to 4 nights for holidays). We can only accept guaranteed daily reservations a maximum of two weeks before arrival with one full night's deposit and the balance due upon arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Your deposit is fully refundable up to six weeks before arrival, less a 10% handling fee. For cancellations two to six weeks before your stay, we credit the full amount of your deposit towards another stay within one year at the prevailing rates. There are no refunds given for cancellations within 14 days of arrival or for early
departure. All guests should consider travel insurance to protect against the unexpected.

CHECKING IN
Check-in 3:00 PM Check-out 11:00 AM
Hours - Check-in hours are from 3:00-6:00 PM. Late check-in is by prior arrangement only.

PAYMENT - Upon arrival, the balance of your rental fee is due in full. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures. Please note that we require a major credit card and photo identification unless prior arrangements have been made.

TAX - Florida State Tax of 6 1/2% and Manatee County Resort Tax of 3% will be added to your rental bill.

ROOM ASSIGNMENT - Management may change your reserved room number to another room of equal or greater value.

PARKING - There is one unassigned parking space per unit. If the resort is full, you must park additional vehicles in the public parking area at the end of Spring Avenue.

VISITORS - In accord with state regulations and our insurance carrier it is illegal for unregistered guests to use the pool or stay overnight on the property. Please check with us first to understand these rules and additional charges.

Since 1983, our family has maintained a residence on Anna Maria Island.
