Imagine the year 1856, Thomasville, Georgia five years before the war between the states, plantations, a different way of life, the Dawson Street Inn with all the charm and character of a by gone era. The house built by Ephraim G. Ponder will give you the opportunity to step back in time and get away to yesterday.
Grounds are Charleston-style with old brick, stone walls and iron gates.
Upon arrival relax on the front porch or by the pool with a glass of our ice tea or walk to beautiful historic downtown Thomasville, awarded the "Great American Main Street Award" in 1998, one of only five towns in our country. The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Thomasville to its list, "Dozen Distinctive Destinations Award" in May of 2000.

Each of our Suite Size bedrooms is complimented with queen or king high quality beds and private bathrooms equipped with all soaps, shampoos, conditioners and ample towels. All suites have very large windows with views of the grounds, pool or historic district. Grounds are Charleston style with old brick, stone walls and iron gates. |
