The largest state east of the Mississippi River, Georgia plays a major role in the economy of the southeastern part of the United States.   Atlanta, the state capital and largest city, is the commercial, transportation, and financial center of the entire Southeast.  Thousands of national concerns have offices in Atlanta, and one of the city's downtown intersections is called the Wall Street of the South.  Although many people think of Georgia as a state of small towns and rural areas, the urban manufacturing centers are more truly representative of the modern state.

But non-golfers don’t dismay, there is a two-tiered promenade, called the Riverwalk to explore.  Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, is a hot bed for entertainment, dining and culture. Stroll the Buckhead neighborhood to shop until you drop. Stop by the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum for some quiet time or enjoy the wide open spaces of Piedmont Park before returning to your bed breakfast in GA.  Before leaving this state don’t forget to enjoy the northeast Georgia mountain region, the gateway to the Appalachian Mountains and home of the Chattahoochee River, which you can tube down.
