Volcano Inn offers elegant upcountry accommodations comprised of exquisitely appointed rooms at either Volcano Inn a bed and breakfast or the Guest House at Pali Uli. Volcano Inn features a wood burning stove in the lobby available to all guests and also serves as an art gallery with numerous original local artists' works and is ideal for relaxing in front of the fire on cool nights. There is also FREE unlimited use of high speed broadband 24/7 where you may check your email by connecting your laptop with our 'cat 5' or taking advantage of our wireless in the privacy of your accommodation. The expansive lanai is wonderful for afternoon reading or gathering with acquaintances.
Joan, the Innkeeper, specializes in the art of Hawaiian Quilting and displays of her work can be seen throughout the Inn. Please inquire regarding onsite instruction and be sure to allow at least 20 hours per instruction project.
We offer our most "talked about" granola, optional cereal bar, all natural yogurt from a certified maker, whole grain breads, gourmet muffins and pastries, Island jams and preserves, a selection of fruit juices and an assortment of fresh seasonal fruits including pineapple, papayas and bananas. Your choice of Kona coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino, a selection of fine teas, and hot cocoa are also available. Fruit smoothies with a "protein punch" from a certified maker, and your choice of either fruit juice, soy or rice milk are offered as our daily specialty.

Original works of art can be found throughout the house and several prized antiquities await your discovery.

Guest House at Pali Uli
Our most recent acquisition has been painstakingly restored to its original charm. Originally built in 1928 this 'Plantation Style' home has all the modern conveniences. Upon entering please note the two inch thick Red Oak eighteen foot full length boards which comprise the flooring throughout the library and foyer. The cut boards appear upstairs in the bedrooms. Treasured antique furnishings are throughout the entire household. The pride of the house is our library where you can spend endless hours perusing the priceless collection of books. In the evening we invite you to enjoy the peaceful surroundings with your favorite find in front of glowing embers from our lava rock fireplace. The library also offers over 500 video titles and a variety of board games. Oftentimes, due to the mist of Volcano, this extra warmth even in summer is most appreciated. Original works of art can be found throughout the house and several prized antiquities await your discovery. All three bedrooms with private full baths are located on the second floor.

Located in the heart of Volcano Village one mile from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Volcano Inn is just minutes away from the most active (and safest) volcano in the world! Kilauea is now in its 20th year of continuous active lava flows and is surely a sight to behold. Situated at the 4,000 foot elevation, escape the heat and crowds of the fast paced city life and enjoy the quiet lush tropical rainforest. Explore the numerous craters from past eruptions, lava deserts, endless hiking trails, discover lava tubes and tree molds from ancient lava flows. We are very close to Active Lava Flows you can drive and walk right up to!
One can visit waterfalls and botanical gardens on the way to Waipio Valley, just a short drive North of Hilo's shopping and restaurants, Kapoho's tide pools and hot ponds, South Point's black and green sand beaches, and 13,500' Mauna Kea Observatories.
