district, grocery stores, and many other historic Boston landmarks.
Each of our executive studios and suites is a
self-contained apartment replete with fine antiques, fireplaces, beautifully crafted wood
paneling and wainscoting, fine artwork, and individual signature themes. In addition, each
suite includes a fully appointed kitchen or kitchenette. Many have delightful views over
tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue, or looking south over Back Bay.

original hand carved woodwork and ornamental plasterwork has been preserved or restored.

Our studios are comfortable and beautifully decorated. They range
from 250 to 350 sq. feet. They all have kitchenette and private bathroom with all the
necessary for the busy traveler.

Studios
Our large studios are comfortable even
for three people since most of our large studios are equipped with a double bed and a
single bed. They range from 350 to 550 sq. feet. They all have kitchenette and private
bathroom, dining and living room area.

One-Bedroom
Apartments
Our one bedroom apartments range from 650
to 750 sq. feet. They are beautifully decorated looking over Commonwealth Ave. They have
two double beds, kitchen, living and dining room area, and private bathroom.

Two-Bedroom
Apartments
Our two-bedroom apartments are beautifully decorated units that look
over Commonwealth Avenue. They range from 750 sq ft. to 950 sq. ft. These
apartments have one double bed in the master bedroom and two single beds in the second
bedroom. It has a living room and dining room area, kitchen and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms.
Rates range from:
$1300 to $1800 per week
$4500 to $5000 per month |
The original owner/builder of 240
Commonwealth Ave. Rollin H. Allen, was a prominent Massachusetts
businessman. He lived at the property for several years with his wife and family. In the
1930s Mr. Allen sold his home to the Boston School of Interior Decoration. The School
separated the home into several living spaces for its students while maintaining the
integrity of the original decor including the beautiful and ornate plaster ceilings, and
hand carved wooden features of the banisters, as well as the many other features we hope
you will enjoy while browsing the gallery.
