We are fortunate to be located in the heart of the historic harbor district of fine shops, galleries and great restaurants. Within an approximate area of two city blocks from the Inn, there are 9 food service establishments. Sandwich / muffin shops, coffee house bistro, 3 seafood / steak restaurants and a romantic Italian eatery.
Less than a ¼ mile there are more than a dozen more restaurants that
include Thai, Chinese, Italian, Northern Italian, Seafood, Mexican, Steakhouse, etc. Some
provide evening entertainment. Add to these, ice cream shops, pizza / sandwich shops and
gourmet coffee shops.
Many of these fine restaurants have menus in our parlor
and our staff will be more than happy to help with recommendations and reservations.
~Corporate Info~
The Inn has the advantage over many chain style hotels because we are small, upscale and take the time to treat our guests like "company." Most of our business travelers are multiple repeat customers.
Our rooms are all individual in décor, furnishings and amenities. With real antiques and only the highest quality furniture, we try to create a very elegant but home-like atmosphere. From the thick towels, gourmet chocolates, specialty soaps and lotions, top-of-the-line televisions / VCRs, free movies, Bose or JVC stereos, to the warmth of a fireplaced bedroom, we try to give you the quality you would expect in your own home.
Our rooms are modem friendly, and the front desk can receive faxes 24 hours. We even have a local business, one block from the Inn, tha supplies full secretarial services.
~Meetings~
The Inn is the perfect setting for small intimate conferences. Groups from
2 to 15 are ideal for our fireplaced formal dining room. Larger parties can be
accommodated close by at either a private club or historic mansion. With many restaurants
so close to the Inn, many groups prefer the break to stretch their legs and eat outside of
the Inn. Local caterers are close and available for those who wish to stay and dine
in-house.
Lunches and cocktail parties hosted at the Inn have been very successful and the Inn's
parlors and dining room provide an elegant setting for these occasions. Fireplaces lit and
the soft accompanying piano help set a festive mood.
