Once inside the iron gate, the circular drive leads to the dramatic two story, pillared port-cochere of this Georgian colonial. Upon entering the spacious foyer, you will find Applegate tastefully decorated with plush oriental carpets, fine antiques, and quality reproductions throughout.
Each evening, wine and cheese are offered to guests in the libraried living room where you can linger, listening to soft, classical music in front of the fireplace, or perhaps, play the baby grand-piano. For those who prefer, there is a large sun parlor complete with TV/VCR and a classic video library, jigsaw puzzle in process and game table for late night or rainy afternoon escapes.
A curved stairway leads you upstairs to Applegate's six guest rooms, each one decorated as distinctively and impeccably as the next.
Besides each having their own private bath, guests will find fresh flowers in each guest room, along with a crystal decanter of brandy and Godiva chocolates. Each of the guest rooms are centrally air conditioned. During the cooler months, guests will enjoy the cozy fireplaces found in four of the guest rooms. At the same time, in each room, guests can snuggle under a warm feather comforter and experience the tranquility Applegate provides. |

The Carriage House has three more rooms; two with king size beds, fireplaces, wet bars, Jacuzzi tubs, TV/VCR and private patios. A two-bedroom apartment is also available for those desiring even more privacy.
Breakfast is served in the fireplaced dining room where the glow from the warm fire makes the room even more inviting. Candles flicker from the polished antique silver candelabras set on every table. The soft classical music that fills the air sets the perfect mood for a quiet breakfast elegantly served on antique bone china with crystal stemware.
After a leisurely breakfast, unwind on the property or venture out and discover all the charming town of Lee has to offer. Play a round of golf or engage a fellow guest in a friendly game of tennis, both across the street. The pool on premises is ideal for a relaxing soak or a brisk swim.
