located on 20 wooded acres, just one mile outside the charming town of Chestertown,
Maryland.
Chestertown, Maryland, with the state's second highest concentration of eighteenth century homes, is a colonial village with abundant activities, and serves as a perfect base for exploring all that Maryland’s Eastern Shore has to offer.

Most guest rooms, suites and cottages at Brampton include towel warmers, TVs with a VCR or a DVD, fluffy robes, and quality bath amenities. Rooms are uniquely decorated and appointed with antiques, high-end fixtures, and oriental rugs. All rooms and cottages have working fireplaces. Included in our room rate is afternoon tea served from 4:00 till 5:00pm in the dining room and a scrumptious a-la-carte breakfast served from 8:30 till 10:00am in the dining room at individual tables. Upon request we can deliver breakfast to our guests in the cottages. In addition complimentary treats and beverages are available 24/7 in the den. Brampton's cottages are located in separate buildings on the property and offer the ultimate in privacy and seclusion. Mulberry and Olivia’s Meadow are two new totally private cottages located adjacent to the carriage house. Sunrise and Sunset Cottages are housed in an old horse barn and reached by a pathway through the garden. Russell's Cottage is adjacent to the plantation house, in the old smoke house. All offer the privacy of separate entrances and dedicated parking, as well as coffee and tea service.

When fall and winter bring in flocks of Canada geese, snow geese, and swans, explore the countryside or stroll the streets and browse for antiques and gifts in the shops of nearby Chestertown, an 18th century treasure nestled serenely on the river's edge. This seat of Kent County, Maryland, is also home to Washington College, founded in 1782 and named for the first president.
