Captain Briggs House Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of the quaint village of Freeport, just two blocks north of L.L. Bean.

It is a charming, informal and intimate 1853 Federal house, ideally situated. The house is an historic sea captain's and ship builder's home.

Captain Briggs House has been lovingly restored to its early charm with modern amenities tastefully added. We have taken great pride in preserving the original beautiful oak, walnut, maple and wide pine floors of the Inn.

The mellow atmosphere and warmth of our Inn will stay with you long after you leave. Spend a memorable week, weekend or midweek in our delightful and cozy village Inn.

Join in a lively breakfast conversation with other guests while breakfast is being served. (Breakfast available between 8:00 and 9:30; early coffee or breakfasts also available.)

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast in a casual atmosphere. The daily fare consists of fresh fruit, home made pastries (i.e. coffee cake, breakfast breads), cereals, fine coffee and a hot entrée such as Belgian Waffles with Link Sausage, Eggs Benedict with Hash Browns, Cream Cheese Blintz with Scrambled Eggs & Bacon, or a Chef Special.
