Coach Stop Inn

Chef
Owned/Operated Coach Stop Inn Bed & Breakfast, built c.1804 is Bar Harbor's oldest inn, originally a stagecoach stop and tavern. Stepping through the front door is truly like stepping back in time to over 200 years ago when Thomas Jefferson was president. |
|
Our convenient location makes it easy to get to all that Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park have to offer. You'll be sure to remember Jeff & Natalie's attention to detail and you will find that the food is what you will be talking about for many years.
Come see why "Down
East" magazine says Coach Stop Inn is
"Where to Stay in Bar Harbor".
The weathered shingled building has been completely restored, yet has retained the unique characteristics of this rural tavern dating to the time of Thomas Jefferson's presidency. It harmoniously blends the warmth of original wide plank pine floors, ancient exposed beam ceilings, colonial fences and arbors, with modern day comforts, bright designer fabrics and wallpapers and all private baths.
|
You are sure to fall in love with the charm and the extra touches you find throughout the inn. All of our rooms and suites have queen beds fitted in the finest bedding, and private baths await with luxurious spa towels. For added comfort and convenience all of our accommodations offer in-room refrigerators and air conditioning. |
Enjoy the added space of a separate sitting room in both of our suites,
one of which has a working fireplace, or indulge in the country setting and look at our
centuries old apple trees from your own porch or patio. Either way you will immediately
feel the comforts of our unforgettable hospitality.
"Of all 6 B&Bs where we stayed, Coach Stop
Inn was absolutely the best!
The Inn's hospitality is just fabulous."
