The Town of Solon is located due north of Skowhegan, about 14 miles
along U.S. Route 201.
The central Somerset County town of 40 square miles is bounded on the west by the Kennebec
River.
Though under 1,000 in population, Solon has a substantial commercial and residential
village located along Route 201.
The remainder of town is forested or pasture.
