The East Wind inhabits a truly restful haven at water's edge.
Our historic seaside inn is located in Tenants Harbor, a tiny tranquil village on a rural peninsula - a peaceful base from which to enjoy Maine's scenic coast and the culturally rich Rockland area. Where boats outnumber cars and in the short sweetness of a Maine summer, time recedes.
The East Wind Inn is located in the heart of midcoast Maine at the gateway to Penobscot Bay—one of the most beautiful stretches of the Maine coast. Here you'll find dozens of islands, historic lighthouses, and quiet little protected harbors filled with working lobster boats. |

Stroll along our 350 ft shorefront. The East Wind has it's own dock. Deep water moorings are available for rent.

The main building has thirteen rooms. Each one is carefully appointed with comfortable furnishings and locally acquired antiques, and each has a glorious view of the harbor. |
Full breakfast is served daily 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. (until 10:00 a.m. July & August).
Dine on the freshest seafood and enjoy the harbor view. The East Wind's menu is a sparkling blend of tradition and inspiration, based on the freshest ingredients. With the cold, clear Atlantic waters just a stones throw from your table, that can be as fresh as today's catch! |

The dining room is open seven days a week from April 1 to November 30.Our regular dinner hours are 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (until 9:30 p.m. July 1 -Labor Day). Open to the public. Cocktails available. From December through March, we're closed except for groups (and at the whim of the Innkeeper).
The East Wind's Meeting House is ideally suited for small
and medium sized business gatherings, and is available year round. Well equipped,
private spaces, coupled with an environment that invites reflection and creativity make
the East Wind the perfect place to focus on team building, setting goals, planning, and
reviewing.
We can host groups of up to 30
people. Full meal service (including lunch)
is available.
