The main house, built in 1860, is
listed on the National Register of Historic Places,and has retained its original Victorian
architectural splendor.
For relaxed sophistication. The Maine Stay is Kennebunkport's
premier bed and breakfast inn, distinguished by it's cupola and dramatic wrap-around
porch. The historic main building offers two exquisite suites and four charming guest
rooms, all appointed with period furnishings, comfortable beds and fine linens. All
rooms have TVs with DVD/VCR, private baths, and some with fireplaces or whirlpools.
Five cottage style guest houses surround over an acre of spacious lawns
and gardens, featuring 11 spacious cottage suites. The luxurious cottage suites are unique
with queen or king beds, fireplaces, and spacious baths with whirlpool tubs.

- Fireplaces are not in use from May 31 through Labor Day.
- Most rates are based on double occupancy and include a full gourmet breakfast and
afternoon tea. Add applicable Maine state lodging tax to all rates. Weekend rates apply to
Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Special rates apply for select Holiday periods.
- Additional Charges: Daily charges for extra persons is $30 per person.
There is a $10 one time fee for cribs, which may be used only in cottages #4, 5, 6 and
#8-11

- Minimum stays: Minimum stays may be required during peak periods. We
have a two-night minimum stay on most weekends. However, we will accept reservations for
shorter periods if we have rooms available.
- Deposit: A deposit is needed to secure all reservations. We require a
full deposit for single night stays. All other reservations require a 50% deposit. For
your convenience, you may use a credit card to pay your deposit. Your credit card will be
charged the day you make your reservation.
- Confirmation: We will e-mail a confirmation after we receive your
deposit. It is your responsibility to contact us if you do not receive it .
- Payment: Payment of your balance is due upon check-in.
- We accept VISA, Master Card, Discover and American Express
- Cancellation: We will gladly refund your deposit, minus a $25
bookkeeping charge if you cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to your arrival.
Refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of arrival, or before scheduled departure
date, are given if we are able to rerent the
room.
- Policies: For the comfort and safety of our guests we are a non-smoking
inn and have no facilities for pets. Accommodations in the main house are not appropriate
for children under 12 years old
- Check-in: Between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00 PM. Please call us if you
will be arriving later than 7:00 PM, and we will gladly make special arrangements for you.
- Check-out: Prior to 11:00 AM.
- Office Hours: Office hours are usually 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. During the
quiet season the office closes earlier, so please call to let us know your expected
arrival time
- Telephones: In keeping with the tranquil atmosphere of the inn, our
guest rooms do not have telephones.
