Welcome to the Newcastle
Inn, overlooking a beautiful Maine cove in the Newcastle-Damariscotta's
region of Mid-Coast, Maine. New owners, Julie Bolthuis and Thomas and
Colleen Kennedy, are ready to welcome you to this historic country inn
with romantic guest rooms filled with the amenities you seek like deep double Jacuzzis or
soaking tubs, gas fireplaces and private balconies or decks.
We look forward to having
you as our guest.
Look forward to spacious common rooms including a private pub just for
guests, complimentary WiFi, beautifully appointed guest rooms, a bottomless cookie jar
with made-from-scratch cookies, hearty breakfasts and fine linens. If you are
traveling with your dog, we have two rooms that are dog friendly and your pet receives
their own special goody bag upon arrival! Our corner of Mid-Coast Maine
offers the perfect place for exploring nearby Boothbay, Freeport, Portland,
Rockland and Camden, all just an hour or less away.
Each of our
bedchambers is uniquely furnished, yet all reflect our commitment to providing you with
immaculate accommodations and pleasing decor.
Some of the inn's fourteen rooms and
suites have four-poster or canopy beds, while others have inviting sitting areas or
fireplaces, and all have private baths. |

You'll want to take time to savor The
Newcastle Inn. Relax in a big wing chair in the living room or settle
in by the fire with a good book. Spend an hour or two on the glassed-in porch, or while
away a warm afternoon outside on the lawn in one of the irresistible Adirondack chairs.
A
hearty full breakfast is served each morning. During the warmer months, outside on the
deck overlooking the gardens and river.

Rates and Policies |
- Rates:
May 23 - October 31: $180 - $255
November 1 - May 22: $155 - $225
- Winter rates not in effect during Holiday Weekends and special Winter festivities.
- Rates are double or single occupancy and do not include 7% Maine State tax.
- DEPOSITS - A deposit of one night stay is required for reservations of one or two nights.
For stays of three or more nights, a deposit of 50% is required to hold your reservation.
MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted. The deposit will be charged to your
credit card at the time the reservation is made. All rates are for two people. Maine
State tax of 7% will be added to each stay..
CANCELLATIONS
- A small inn such as ours is dearly affected by cancellations, and
while we are sympathetic to emergencies, we appreciate your understanding of our
cancellation policy. We will cancel your reservation, and your deposit will be refunded,
less a $25 handling charge, if we are notified 14 days in advance.
If you cancel within 14 days
of your reservation, you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation
unless we are able to re-rent the room for the exact same dates as your reservation.
Please note that a late arrival - after the first date specified - or an early departure
prior to the end of your reservation are handled as cancellations and you will be charged
for the nights specified in your reservation, unless changes are made to 14 days before
your arrival.
- CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT - Check in time is between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Please let us know if you will be
arriving after 9 p.m., so we can make late arrival arrangements. In order to prepare for
the arrival of new guests, check out is 11 a.m..
- Payment by cash, check, MasterCard, VISA, or American
Express.
- MINIMUM STAY - There is a two night minimum stay on weekends and during other periods. A three
night minimum stay is required for some holiday and special event periods. The two or
three day minimum stay requirement will be specified at the time of your making a
reservation.
- SMOKING - The Newcastle Inn is entirely non-smoking. We thank you for adhering to the
no-smoking policy. Additional charges, to cover cleaning costs, will be applied to your
bill if it is found that you have been smoking in your room.
- DOG VISITORS - The Newcastle Inn has two rooms that are dog friendly. Please call to see if
there is availability for your dog to stay with you. There is a charge of $25/day for your
dog. Additionally, there is a $100 refundable deposit taken at the time of the
reservation. Dogs are only permitted in the guest room and outside. In consideration of
other guests, please do not bring your dog into the inn..
- Maximum number of people in any room is two.
- The Inn is fully licensed, and is suitable for small conferences and functions.
