home in a serene, natural setting located two miles north of the village of Elk
Rapids.
An elegant colonial style home, Cairn House Bed and Breakfast,
a Northern Michigan Bed and Breakfast, welcomes you to enjoy this serene
natural setting near the coastal village of Elk Rapids, MI on Lake
Michigan, twenty miles north of Traverse City, Michigan. Cairn
House B&B takes pleasure in sharing the elegant furnishings collected
from around the world.

Guests are invited to stroll the one
and one-half acres of manicured grounds, or spend the day enjoying Elk Lake (directly across the road from Cairn
House) or nearby Torch Lake". |
We offer four
comfortable & relaxing guest rooms
Four comfortable guest rooms feature king or queen-size beds and private
baths. Each bedroom has its own unique decor and name: Northern Reflections, Oriental
Impressions, Nature's Tranquility and Sea-renity. Rates for double occupancy range from $110
to $160 and are subject to a 6% Michigan sales tax. There is an additional charge
of $15 per person for more than two guests per room. All rates include a full hearty
country breakfast between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.

Cairn House is available for small weddings, business meetings, private parties or
receptions. Consider renting the entire house for wedding parties, reunions or retreats.

Come and enjoy sailing aboard the Tall Ship Manitou, one of the largest sailing vessels on
the Great lakes. Join the crew aboard the Manitou for a unique adventure back in time. You
will discover the beauty of northern Lake Michigan from the deck of this majestic sailing

Boating on the Chain of O'Lakes
Enjoy the crystal blue waters of the Chain O' Lakes including Torch Lake, Elk Lake,
Clam Lake and Bellaire Lake. These lakes are all interconnected so take a few days
to see what Northern Michigan has to offer by boating on these beautiful lakes. Torch
Lake is listed by National Geography as the second most beautiful lake in the world, so
bring your suntan lotion and swimsuit and have some great boating.

Policies |
- Rates: $110 - $160
- Two night minimum stay on weekends and holidays. A deposit of 50% will secure your
reservation (cash, personal check or Visa and Master Card)
- Cancellations due 7 days in advance; less that 7 day notice or a failure to arrive for
your reservation will forfeit deposit and may incur accitional charges for unrented
nights. 7 days or more ensures a 100% deposit refund.
- If all the inn's rooms are reserved by one group, a 100% payment is required at the time
the rooms are reserved. A 30 day cancellation notice is required to receive a full refund,
less a $15 charge for handling fee
- Check-In 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Check-Out 11:00 a.m.
- Please notify Cairn House if your plans include an earlier or later arrival.
- For the safety and consideration of our guests, smoking is not allowed in the house
