Khardomah Lodge is nestled just 200 yds from one of Lake Michigan's top white sand beaches, in Grand Haven's wooded dunes.

This historic facility became a state historic site in 1990. Authentic cottage furnishings and original bead board intact,echoes of the past bring feelings of simpler and slower times.

The lodge's 15 sleeping rooms and 4 1/2 baths can accommodate up to 37 guests for overnight stays. An added Great Room has a high cathedral ceiling and massive stone fireplace with scenic views of the wooded ravine behind the Inn. A favorite spot for gatherings, reading, or even casual meetings, the great room has a large TV (in a corner so not too obvious), and a beautiful oak floor to ceiling bookcase.

The great room fireplace is an instant socializer

On a lower level, accessed by an inside and outside staircase is the dining room, kitchen, full bath and small guest room. This can be access both from the outside and the inside. Fully furnished with appliances, dishwasher, plates, silverware, and pots and pans, it has the a vintage display (original to the inn) as well as modern conveniences.

Our kitchen and dining room are for the use of our guests, along with all of our other friendly and spacious common areas.

The dining room French doors open to a wraparound wood deck, perfect for picnics and outside gatherings.

Each room at Khardomah Lodge is uniquely decorated with an eclectic and colorful mix of quilts, vintage and original art, lamps, hooked rugs and other whimsical decor.

Mattresses are new and rooms are clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with 15 great lodge bedrooms to choose from.

Policies and Additional Information
  • Please call or visit our homepage for rates
  • All reservations made before May 30th for peak season require a week's stay.
  • WEEKLY STAYS AND GROUPS:
    Cancellation notice required for Peak Season reservations. Shoulder & Winter seasons require a 90 day notice.
    Balance is due in full if less is given. We will refund amount we have re-booked minus a $50 aministration fee.
    Earnest deposits will only be refunded if rebooked.
  • DAILY AND WEEKEND STAYS - SUITES OR LODGE ROOMS:
    Cancellation notice required is 14 days. Balance is due in full if less is given. We will refund amount we have re-booked minus a $50 aministration fee.
  • OTHER GUIDELINES:
    Thank you for respecting our NO SMOKING, NO PETS policies.
    Please respect Quiet Hour beginning at 11:00 pm - we are in a neighborhood and must observe this City Ordinance.
    Guests must be registered, non-registered guests must be approved.
    Parking is limited to registered / approved guests.
    Damaged items should be reported to manager, who will determine repair or replacement costs.
    Facilities are self-catering and are not licensed for food service; kitchens are furnished for guest use.
    Please call in advance to arrange additional housekeeping, babysitting, catering, etc. and we will happily arrange.
  • WHAT IS PROVIDED AND WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
    Not a traditional hotel facility, our lodge environment means that we will furnish linens, soap, and toilet paper, plus hair dryers in the bathrooms.
    Please bring toiletries, robes, slippers, your own personal effects, and cell phones, as there are no phones in our peaceful lodge rooms!

Conveniently located only 200 yards from Lake Michigans public beaches with beautiful views and a short walk or bike ride to the lighthouse and boardwalk. Downtown Grand Haven is a charming "haven" of boutique shops, bookstores, art galleries, and more! Not far from bike paths, hiking in the dunes, a groomed 16 mile crosscountry ski trail along Pidgeon Creek with warming house. Malls and movie theatres 10 minutes away. Everything but the beach shops open year round!
