The Terrace Inn is a charming historic bed and breakfast country Inn. Built in 1911, the Inn is designated as a National Historic Landmark and is located in Bay View, a fairy-tale Victorian village with over 400 Victorian cottages. Bay View is adjacent to Petoskey and Little Traverse Bay in Northwest Michigan.
The Terrace Inn is a Historic Hotel and Restaurant nestled on a bluff in Victorian Bay View Association, in the resort town of Petoskey, Michigan. Just 3 blocks from Lake Michigan and the scenic Little Traverse Bay, the Inn is the perfect getaway for individuals and groups seeking the wholesome Northern Michigan breezes, cultural and recreational opportunities and an escape from the hustle and bustle of big city life.
Since purchasing the Inn in May, 2004, owners Mo and Patty Rave have carefully updated the Inn's lodging and dining accommodations, while preserving the architectural integrity that all of Bay View insists upon. Thirty eight rooms range from simple cottage style rooms with no tv, to deluxe whirlpool suites with fireplaces, kitchenettes and whirlpool tubs. The Inn is wireless, and includes a hearty continental breakfast with your stay. All rooms have private bath, clock radio, and a/c.
Enjoy a delectable meal in our air-conditioned dining room, relax next to the fireplace in our spacious lobby, take some time in one of the rocking chairs on our wide veranda, or indulge in a stroll, a snowball fight or perhaps a game of croquet on our grounds. |

Continental breakfasts and gourmet dinners are both served in the Inn's grand dining room, which seats up to 125 people.

| The Terrace Inn offers guests a unique vantage point from which to view and experience Bay View from the inside. Guests of the Inn have use of the private Bay View beach on Little Traverse Bay, tennis courts, hiking & cross country ski trails. You may participate in the music, religious and educational programs sponsored throughout the summer or attend the concerts or theatre offered in our packages. |

serve wine, beer and cocktails!
Our spacious dining room is elegant, warm and inviting. Recently renovated, our restaurant
features vintage-style wallpaper, gleaming wood floors, and authentic Austrian glass
chandeliers. Perfect for intimate dinners, private banquets and other special occasions
The DeVol Room (named
after the original owner), is open *Summer Season - June through August - Tuesday through
Saturday 5 - 9 p.m. Enjoying the view of the bay from our outdoor veranda is a special
treat when warmer weather permits! In Fall and Winter months, the restaurant is open for Special Event Weekends, Private Events and Open Dining. Reservations are highly recommended since Events at the Inn are very popular! |
