The dining room hosts up to 125 people and has a fully licensed bar, and is air-conditioned. Recently renovated it features glass chandeliers, antique furnishings, and 12 foot ceilings with original transoms and antique windows, and gleaming hard wood floors. Our DeVol restaurant and dining room feature an
incredible seasonally-changing menu thanks to our new Chef Perry Manning III!
We've received rave reviews from guests about our fabulous chicken tandoori to our slow
and low roasted barbeque ribs to our authentic Italian Pasta puttanesca!
Our traditional planked whitefish is always a favorite..caught right here in Lake
Michigan and delivered fresh to our doorstep!
Lots of northern michigan produce is used, along with our own herbs and spices..and
whether you are vegetarian, love your meat and potatoes, or
have a sophisticated palate, you will love dining here!
We also have a full licensed bar for wine, beer and cocktails (wine and beer only when Bay
View is open in summer). Bay View is a Methodist
Community and allowed us a bar keeping in mind it was for guests to enjoy with dinner..so
not a bar you "hang out" in! We keep it tasteful
and sophisticated..yet reasonable in price and a friendly atmosphere too.
In-season the restaurant Tuesday through Saturday 5-9 or 10 p.m. and off-season for
special event weekends, holidays and private events like
weddings and business functions. Reservations are strongly suggested, due to the
popularity of our veranda in-season and because we do host
private events as well. Lodging guests receive specials for dining with us..and we also
have beautiful logo'd wine glasses and mugs for sale in our gift shop!
Dinner and entertainment is part of our special events..a most popular one is our dinner
and sleigh ride in winter, murder mystery dinners, New Years when we feature Alaskan King
Crab Legs, filet mignon and Jazz Music, or Valentines when we host Romantic Dance Classes
or musical entertainment.
