Our Guest Rooms

The Inn has 38 rooms and a restaurant which is open year round except Christmas Eve and Day and the month of March.
Rooms are charming and unique and can be reserved alone, or with dinner when the restaurant is open, as well as for special and private events. Nestled among over 400 original Victorian Cottages with views of Little Traverse Bay, and just a mile from downtown Petoskey, the Inn is an ideal spot for rest, relaxation, all kinds of recreation.

All rooms and suites have private baths, wireless access, a/c, and include a continental deluxe breakfast daily.

Rooms are on 3 floors of the Inn and there is no elevator, so guests who cannot manage steps need to request a main floor room

Room Descriptions and Rates
Cottage Rooms  
Cottage rooms have a private bath with shower, clock radio, 1 queen or 2 twin beds, and some have cable modem for guests who choose to bring their own tv (tv's are not included in rooms, in keeping with a historic atmosphere)
Deluxe Rooms
Our Deluxe Rooms have either 1 King or 1 Queen bed, private full bath with tub/shower, hair dryer, cable TV, air conditioning and clock radios. These are meant for double occupancy.
Whirlpool Suites
Whirlpool suites have 1 Queen Bed, kitchenette, full bath with jetted tub, fireplace and cable tv and cd player
Deluxe Whirlpool Suites 
Deluxe whirlpool suites have 1 King bed, kitchenette full bath with walk shower and separate whirlpool tub plus fireplace, cable tv, a and dvd player

WINTER Season: December, January, and February
NOTE: the Inn is closed March 1 to April 15, 2008

All room rates are based upon double occupancy. Only suites can accommodate a third person for an additional nightly charge. Please add tax of 6% and room tax of 2%. Gratuity will be added to dining packages. The Inn also has a fully licensed bar. Holidays are at the weekend rate if they are on mid-week day.

  • For reasons of safety and security, we cannot allow smoking inside our
    historic facility. It is not allowed anywhere in Bay View.
  • To avoid risk to guests with health allergies or sensitivities, we cannot accommodate pets.
  • The Inn has a fully licensed bar, however, when Bay View is open (june through august) the restaurant serves only wine or beer
  • For private events and off-season, the Inn can serve wine, beer and cocktails.
  • Guests cannot take alcohol outside of the Inn or anywhere on Bay View property, or they will be fined by the Association All alcohol consumed at the Inn, must be by those of legal age (21)
    and purchased at the Inn if consumed anywhere beyond the guest room.
  • CHILDREN PERMITTED IF QUIET AND SUPERVISED...
    (building has many antiques and relaxing atmosphere needs to be preserved)
  • We happily accept mastercard, visa and discover cards. Sorry, we do not accept American Express.
  • Cancellation notice must be received at least 48 hours prior to your first night's stay (by 4 pm) or you will be billed for any stay or part of a stay that 48 hours notice was not received.
  • For special events, 30 days notice is required. There is not refund on deposit for special events.
  • QUIET HOUR 11 p.m. ROWDY GUESTS NOT ALLOWED
  • RATES ARE BASED ON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY. COTTAGE ROOMS HAVE A 2 GUEST LIMIT.
  • THERE ARE NO PHONES IN THE ROOMS.
  • Lodging includes a continental deluxe breakfast buffet from 8 - 10 a.m.

WE _DO_ OFFER ACTIVITY MILITARY DISCOUNT OF 10% off lodging
DISCOUNTS FOR STAYS OF 6 DAYS INCLUDE A 1 FREE NIGHT STAY THIRD PERSON ROOM CHARGE IS $25.00 adult per night and $15.00 child per night
GUESTS STAY THEIR FOURTH NIGHT FREE BASED ON AVAILABILITY.
COT OR CRIB (2 pack and plays available first come, first serve by reservation) $5.00 per night
Rollaways may be added based on availability and whether room can accommodate it. $25.00 per day.

An additional note for our physically-challenged guests - we regret that, due to the historical nature of our building, we have limited handicapped facilities and no elevators. If you have any questions regarding these situations, please feel free to telephone us, and we will do the best that we can to accommodate you and make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.
