Historically named the Street-Ward residence, this 1882 home features seven well appointed guest rooms, each with a private bath, modern amenities and tasteful decor that reflect the home's late Victorian heritage.

The Magnolia Room pays tribute to all of the beautiful southern blossoms that are part of our life in North Carolina. The room was one of the orginial upstairs bedrooms of the house. The bathroom was part of the two story front porch before being enclosed during one of the many renovations to the home. A pencil post queen bed, antique Victorian settee and mirrored artwork by the innkeeper Marty, makes Magnolia uniquely special. |
Guest awake to an elegant, candle-lit, gormet breakfast where the Innkeepers offer a daily choice of three hot entrees made with seasonal local ingredients. Each evening, appetizers are offered in the parlor and are a favorite for guests relaxing prior to a stroll downtown for dinner reservations at one of New Bern's excellent resaurants.
