Slip away to the Harborlight Guest House, on the Central North Carolina
coast, and relax amidst shady palm trees and a tranquil waterfront.

The inn is a secret hideaway; there are no signs on the highway, therefore resulting in a very private and secluded waterfront inn for the guest who needs an escape from their hectic daily lives! The inn sits on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by water, thus all suites have stunning views of Bogue Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway. Waterfront sunsets are a spectacular conclusion to a day of shelling, shopping, and exploring the Crystal Coast museums and waterfront villages.

The Inn offers 530' of shoreline on Bogue Sound and the rocking chairs and lounge chairs are perfect spots to read a good book or just enjoy the birds and wildlife.

If guests prefer the sand and surf, the innkeepers will share the hidden treasure of Hammocks Beach State Park and the Cape Lookout Lighthouse island escapes! Both islands are only accessible by boat and offer pristine beaches, seclusion, and incredible shelling. The waterfront shops of Swansboro and Beaufort are favorite haunts for antique shoppers. Golfing, boat rentals, kayaking, fishing, and hiking are among favorite activities to choose from on a visit to the Harborlight.

Cape Lookout and Cape Lookout Lighthouse,a visit here makes for a terrific day outing. The Harborlight recommends you use the Local Yokel or Calico Jack's Marina at Harkers Island as your taxi/ferry service to here and to Shackleford Banks where the turn of the century settlement of Diamond City was located and the wild horses have roamed since the late 16th century. The boat captain will leave you on the island and return for you at your pre-arranged time. This excursion offers secluded beaches and excellent shelling.
