The Mason Cottage
is endowed with lofty ceilings, full-length windows and a sweeping veranda, all so
characteristic of Victorian homes of the period.
Our Cape May New Jersey Bed and
Breakfast is OPEN ALL YEAR and just one block from the beach and
promenade and 2 blocks from many fine shops and intimate restaurants.
Built in 1871 as a private summer residence
for Edward A. Warne, a wealthy Philadelphia entrepreneur, the Mason
Cottage is the perfect getaway for guests who appreciate the peaceful and
charming lifestyle of a by-gone era.

There are nine
lovely antique appointed rooms/suites to choose from, each with private baths, flat screen
TV's, IPod docking station with AM/FM clock radio, hair-dryers, air-conditioning and
luxurious Tarocco bath amenities.
Most suites offer a Jacuzzi tub,
fireplace, mini-refrigerator and Turkish cotton bathrobes. |

Breakfast is always a delight
at our Cape May Inn.
From delectable fresh baked goods and breads to delicious breakfast dishes, we offer
something for every taste. Breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m. daily. You are welcome to
enjoy your morning meal in our beautiful dining room or on the veranda. A typical
breakfast may include:
- Coffee and tea, along with an assortment of fruit juices
- Fresh baked muffins, bread, scones or coffeecake
- Fresh seasonal fruit
- A hot entree such as a hearty breakfast casseroles, pancakes or French toast
- Delicious and healthy steel-cut oats with fresh berries, honey and cream
- Breakfast meats and potatoes

It's Tea Time at the Cottage!
Afternoon tea is a special time at the cottage and is
available to all guests from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM daily. Guests can relax in the parlor or
outside on the Veranda. Tea treats range from sweet to savory and may include:
- Hot tea and/or iced mint tea
- Seasonal drinks such as fresh lemonade
- An assortment of delicious homemade desserts
- Assorted cheese and fruit
- Hand-dipped chocolate fruit, nuts or Oreos

Dinner Reservations
We hope that you save room for dinner after tea-time, as Cape May is filled with many
wonderful restaurants. If you need reservations for evening dining, simply look over our
supply of menus in the parlor or ask the innkeeper for assistance with recommendations or
reservations.

Rates and Policies |
- Rates range from $109 - $299, depending on the day of the week, type of
accommodation and time of the year.
- Reservations are highly recommended. A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the
reservation is required to secure your reservation at the Mason Cottage. To do so, this
amount will be charged to the specified credit card with the balance due upon arrival. A
two night minimum stay on the weekends, during the summer-season and holidays is required.
- Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Aside from the $25 fee, there are
no other additional charges for room cancellations or package plan cancellations with at
least 10 days advance notice. No-shows or cancellations made within 10 days of the arrival
date will result in a charge equal to the first nights room charge or in the case of
package plans... $150.00 per person.
- Refund Policy:
Any guest canceling with at least 10 days advance notice, will be the refunded with a
credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days.
- Pet Policy:
We do allow small to medium size dogs (under 60 lbs) in one pet friendly room; however,
pets are not permitted in any of the public areas of the inn. Guests wishing to bring
their pet, must call the inn directly to make their reservation. There is a fee of $35 per
night plus taxes for any guest bringing their pet, as special arrangements need to be made
for cleaning of the room. Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to guest
rooms or furnishings by their pet.
- Children Policy:
Well-behaved children 12 and over are always welcome at the Mason Cottage.
- ABSOLUTELY NO Open Flames permitted!:
For the safety of everyone in the inn, the use of open flames (candles, incense, matches,
lighters etc.) is STRICTLY prohibited. Any guest found using candles, incense, matches,
lighters etc. will be asked to leave the inn without a refund. Please note - the inn has a
very sensitive hardwired fire alarm system - the slightest amount of smoke will cause the
alarm to go off and the fire department to be called.
- The Mason Cottage is Non-Smoking:
For the same reasons mentioned above in our "No Open Flame" policy, there is a
strict non-smoking policy at the Mason Cottage. This includes inside the inn, on the
veranda, as well as the grounds around the inn. Any guest found smoking in their room will
be asked to leave the inn without a refund. We do want to say "thank you" to all
our guests who have been so thoughtful by not smoking while on property!
- Check In/Check Out:
Check-in is 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Guests must arrange for late arrival. Check-out is by 11:00
a.m.
- Method of Payment Accepted:
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Travelers Cheques, cash and personal checks
are accepted.
Rates are subject to applicable taxes and change without notice. All rates are based on
double occupancy.
- Extra person:
Rooms are based on double occupancy. For guests bringing a 3rd or 4th person, there is a
$35 additional occupant charge per person/per day.
- Security Policy:
Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best
software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your
personal information, including credit card number, name, and address.
- Privacy Policy:
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally
identifiable information when you visit our website. We also automatically receive and
record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie
information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable
information to anyone.
- Please note: There is one dog (Sammy) on the
premise
