This intimate inn has a European flair and an unpretentious air. Robyn and Wolfgang Wendt's casual approach and warm welcome make you feel instantly at ease. They have over 20 years in the lodging and restaurant industry. With their love of travel and taste for adventure they find themselves far away from their families in New Zealand and Germany. They love to surround themselves with intriguing people and to share their Craftsman home and also tales of their adventures.

This intimate inn has a European flair and an unpretentious air. In keeping with the Arts and Crafts Movement aesthetic of this Swiss Chalet-style bungalow the simplicity and uncluttered theme is refreshing. The interior rooms have been decorated with mission oak furnishings  mica lamps and art glass lanterns and objects from nature complement the ambiance. The ocean breezes waft in through the six-over-one windows with the original rippled glass that provide the room with ample light, air and views of the Atlantic ocean.

Our guestrooms are accented in decadent comfort with you in mind and the beds are dressed for peaceful, sweet dreams on double pillow top mattresses, wrapped with luxuriously soft linens, decorative pillows and spreads from Eastern Accents bedding collection.

We provide you with silky soft micro fiber shawl robes, iron and board, hairdryer, pure essential oils bath products from EO Products and daily housekeeping service. Satellite TV, iPod home clock radio, WiFi are in every room as well. And to start your morning right, a full hot breakfast is included with each day of your stay.

Rates: $325 - $380

We alternate the cooked breakfast; sweet one-day, then savory the next. You might expect "Eggs Oscar", a benedict-style preparation with crabmeat and white asparagus. Or perhaps “French Toast” — we bake our own brioche with a cinnamon swirl and cover it with baked custard and fresh berries. The peppered bacon is to die for. Our Breakfast Burrito is popular with fresh herbs and tomatoes used as garnish harvested from our own kitchen garden each morning. You will be reminded how small the world is when you discover how much in common you have with your fellow guests during breakfast conversation.

Dinner packages are available exclusively for our inn guests and all we need is a few days advanced notice of your selections from our evolving menu. New Zealand lamb or venison, Black Angus Filet, Veal Chop or Fresh, local seafood and shellfish. Or, request Wolfgang prepare one of his German favorites.  Sauerbraten, Weinerschnitzel, Fleish Rouladen to name a few. Bring a bottle of wine to enjoy. We are happy to serve it.

A beverage service is offered throughout the day. You are invited to savor sweet treats by the cheering fire in cooler months or on the breezy porch in summer with old friends and new during afternoon refreshment hour. Plates of Chocolate Macaroons or White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Macadamia Nuts. Perhaps 'Nussecken' (nut corners, in German) triangles of frangipane and raspberry on a shortbread crust with the corners dipped in chocolate. Fresh Fruit Tarts or Peach Tartine are joined by pitchers of infused iced tea and lemonade in hot weather or mulled cider and gourmet hot chocolate, fresh brewed coffee and fine tea in the winter.

Your Perfect Beach Weekend Wedding

To offer you the ultimate privacy for such a special occasion we require you to take the entire house for a two or three night stay, depending on the time of year.

Your packaged cost includes all guest rooms accommodating up to 23 overnight guests, for two or three nights bed & breakfast, private use of the Inn for two days.

On site catering with three styles of reception to choose from: Cocktail Reception, Wedding Buffet, or Sit-down Wedding Dinner. Prices vary accordingly.

You may supply your own beer and wine, or we offer a Hosted Full Bar package for an additional fee.

You will be responsible for your photographer, music and floral needs. Of course we can guide you to local vendors.

Wed In Front of the Fire, On the Sand, or At A Nearby Chapel

If you wish to have your wedding ceremony at the Inn, we have several choice locations; in front of the fireplace or out on our sun porch facing the beach.
Weddings are also popular over on the beach or at the gazebo at the end of Beach Avenue.

There are also several chapels to choose from. Some pre-planning with the town clerk is necessary. The Mayor or Justice of the Peace can officiate, or a Celebrant or Minister of your choice.
