Situated on over an acre of land, our bed and breakfast has spectacular gardens for you to enjoy complete with the relaxing sounds of the many birds who gather around our courtyard fountain. Our b and b is nestled at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains - which means visitors at The Cottonwood B and B enjoy breath-taking mountain and mesa views. The spacious and elegant rooms will accommodate your every need as you relax in the unique surroundings and enjoy that special ambiance only found in the Southwest, and particularly in Taos.

Select rooms have whirlpool and Jacuzzi tubs, steam rooms, decks, private patios, LCD televisions and our honeymoon suite has its own private 400 gallon hot tub!

One big part of  The Cottonwood Bed and Breakfast credo is that our guests should never leave the breakfast table hungry. A second, and equally important belief, is that our b and b guests get the healthiest, tastiest, and highest quality ingredients we can find.

To us at the b and b, quality is more than just fresh ingredients - we think that where and how food is produced is equally important. We believe that tasty food and eco-friendliness not only can, but do, go hand in hand.  In keeping with these beliefs we make every effort to buy free-range and organic products. Luckily, Taos is an excellent place to partake of both free-range and organic farm goods. We are proud to serve free-range eggs from hens who have never been exposed to steroids, growth hormones, or inhumane living conditions. Likewise, the meat products we serve - such as our bacon and pork sausage and green chili chicken sausage - are cruelty, nitrate, and growth hormone free. We belong to several of the local cooperative farms, and are able to put the freshest produce possible on the breakfast table.  We are also proud to serve locally roasted coffee from the Taos Roasters - we love their Small Town Brown roast and have received many complements on our coffee from guests.

In addition to the bountiful breakfasts you'll get at the Cottonwood Bed and Breakfast, we also provide a variety of hand-made tasty snacks like cookies, scones, muffins, coffee cakes, cinnamon rolls, and much more.

The Cottonwood B and B boasts spacious and elegantly appointed common areas with windows which were specifically designed by artist Wolfgang Pogzeba to take advantage of the beautiful Taos light and vistas which surround the property. Our bed and breakfast is decorated with antiques, hand-woven textiles-- both from Los Ojos' Tierra Wools and various Navajo weavers, as well as original art by such artists as: M.C. Luther, Heidi Goennel, Guy Gilchrest, Jonathan Warm Day, Anderson Kee, William Owen, Roderick Slater, Christo, Julia Adams, Olga Sinclair, and H. B. Quimper.

Relax in our comfy living room on a soft leather sofa and look out the window at a million-dollar view or enjoy a blazing fire in the over-sized kiva fireplace. Kick back and watch a movie or put together a few pieces of the puzzle we always have available for puzzle-addicts from around the world. In addition to satellite TV, we also have over 500 DVDs, VHS tapes and CDs which you are welcome to take to your room and enjoy. Our printed library contains thousands of books on a myriad of topics-- from Taos area hikes to whodunits to classical literature to Civil War history-- we can always find a book for our guests to enjoy.

At the Cottonwood B and B we can find an activity to interest everyone. Our goal at the Cottonwood Bed and Breakfast is to give our guests the inside track on what to do and see in Taos. We often have guests who spend an entire week in Taos, and leave with a list of undone things that they want to do or see on their next visit. The list of possibilities is endless and the following suggests just a few.

The Cottonwood Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to spend a honeymoon, celebrate an anniversary or have an especially romantic getaway. Our large common areas and beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop for that special intimate wedding or family gathering.
