Working fireplaces, a raised hearth, original flooring, and antique hardware all reflect the craftsmanship, charm and elegance of the past. Air conditioned bedrooms, private baths, bountiful homemade gourmet breakfast, and our attention to detail give our guests the comforts they deserve.
The Inn at Valley Farms located in Walpole, New Hampshire, is said to be one of the most picturesque towns in all of New England. The town is complete with rows of white historic homes and churches, its own challenging 9-hole golf course, and Sunday concerts on the common. Nestled amongst some of the greenest rolling hills of the Connecticut River Valley, bordered by a 500-acre orchard, and just minutes to Keene, Brattleboro or Interstate 91.
Sample the Bounty of the Farm
Guests are encouraged to sample the immense bounty on our farm including fresh garlic, chives, basil, heirloom tomatoes (Green Zebras are amongst our favorites!), Swiss chard, leeks, numerous salad greens, edible flower blossoms or any other in-season produce from our extensive organic gardens for an extra special meal.
Guests of any age are welcome to help feed the animals and collect fresh warm eggs from the hen house. And depending upon the season, our organic pastured meats may be available as well which could be cooked on our grill.

spacious, spotless, and elegantly appointed guest rooms — For families, larger groups or longer stays, where greater independence may be desired, check out our self-sufficient Cottages and Sunnyside Farmhouse. |

The Cottages
Each cottage sleeps up to six guests and is perfect for families with small children, small groups, or even couples looking for a home base for an extended stay. Both cottages are partially handicapped accessible and are a great option for guests needing a first floor bedroom. In addition to the breakfast basics that you’ll find stocked in the kitchen when you arrive (milk, orange juice, coffee, a selection of teas, cereal, and oatmeal), a basket of homemade baked goods and breads will be brought to your doorstep each morning along with our own fresh organic pastured eggs when available.
The Kilburn Cottage
has a first-floor bedroom with a four-poster Queen bed and two second-floor bedrooms, each
with two twin beds. Kilburn has a full bath on the first floor and also a half bath on the
second floor.
The Bellows Cottage also has a
first-floor bedroom with a four-poster Queen bed and on the second floor are two bedrooms.
One has two twin beds and the other has a daybed with a trundle (second pop-up mattress).
Bellows does not have a bathroom on the second floor, but does have a much larger
living/dining area than Kilburn.
Today, this is a vibrant working organic farm, raising Grass-fed beef, pastured chickens, eggs, & turkeys, cashmere goats and a wide variety of quality herbs, heirloom vegetables and edible flowers. Walpole Valley Farms sells its products exclusively to friends, neighbors and fine restaurants. |

Our family farm was first
certified organic in 1998 when we purchased the farm, which means no chemical
fertilizers, or sprays have been used on any of our 105 acres since at least 1995.
Instead, we use crop and animal rotation and focus on building healthy soils to prevent
insects and disease from devastating any of our crops.
Additionally, since the opening of our bed and breakfast in the fall of 1999, we’ve
taken many steps to ensure that our impact on our local and global environment is as
little as reasonably possible while still providing our guests the special comforts they
expect and deserve.
