The Peter Shields Inn specializes in both casual and elegant ocean front Cape May weddings, parties, receptions and special dinners. We cater to your needs and welcome your ideas to make your special occasion everything you dreamed it would be. Our events generally include one and a half hours of passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a sit-down station or buffet brunch, lunch or dinner. Each of our events differ, so we will match our times and food with your needs allowing for photos and any other of your planned activities. The integrity of the food at The Peter Shields Inn is wonderful and you won't be disappointed. We will work out a menu to suit your wants and needs. Groups Together the Peter Shields Inn & The Mainstay Inn offer meeting planners an exciting alternative to the standard hotel or conference center. Accommodation include a combined total of 25 guestrooms in both properties, all with private baths. Our secure conference room in the lower level of the Peter Shields can accommodate up to 20 people. Larger groups can be accommodated in any of the restaurant's dining rooms. In addition to our regular room amenities - full breakfast, afternoon tea and evening wine & cheese - we also offer a variety of luncheon and dinner options. Gift Certificates Available Peter Shields Gift Certificates make the perfect gift for anniversaries, birthdays and weddings. Gift certificates can be purchased for either dinner or accommodations and are good for one year. Certificates for dinner can be made out for any dollar amount. Gift certificates for accommodations at the inn can be purchased for any dollar amount, a specific length of stay (subject to minimum stay requirements) or for any of our special packages.
