Cedar Crest is
Victorian splendor. Delicate, delightful detail is the key feature of the parlor woodwork. The Baroque-style mantel is surrounded by fluted columns, medallions and richly carved crests, with the original beveled glass mirror gently tilted to catch the reflection of any fine lady, past or present. The eye travels up the walls, where the 12 foot ceilings meet the dental design work and caved swags. The fireplace is surrounded by original tiles, while a charming Victorian cherub dances over the flames, against the bronze cast fireback. |

Our Guest Cottage
Located 150 feet from the Mansion, and located just three
blocks from Biltmore Estate in Asheville, this 1,300 square-foot 1915
bungalow sits just up the path above our croquet lawn and English
perennial gardens; a quaint haven, representative of the arts and crafts period.
Nestled on more than one acre of land in the heart of Asheville, the
one-story 1915 Cottage features a large porch for afternoon sitting, interior high
ceilings, plush sofas, and cozy furnishings, a private drive and parking. A
great retreat for a week stay or a relaxing weekend.
A breakfast feast is served daily with seating in the dining room or on our spacious verandah. For those special mornings, we are happy to deliver a continental breakfast bedside.

Our beautifully manicured lawns and English perennial flower gardens are
the perfect venue for small intimate celebrations (maximum of 40) April through October.
During the colder months here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, you can descend the majestic
staircase, in the grand foyer, and exchange vows fireside in one of the lovely formal
rooms of the mansion (maximum of 25). As Asheville's genteel society once
gathered in this historic prominent residence, we invite you to experience the luxuries of
this bygone era, as you embark on your journey as husband and wife, or carry on with
renewed love, hopes and dreams.

Downtown Asheville, just a mile drive from Cedar Crest Inn, is a rare place. Artists and street musicians converge with tourists and locals for a vibrancy rarely found in a city of this size. They go on art walks, winding their way through downtown's 30-plus galleries. Shoppers inspect unique boutique finds, or people simply enjoy fine cuisine and people-watching.

pleasure - not a stress - to go shopping. Be sure to visit the Grove Arcade, a beautifully
