This magnificant Tudor is centrally located in the heart of northcentral Ohio's vactionland
Thoroughly renovated and beautifully adorned with extensive art, period antiques and fine furnishings, The Victorian Tudor Inn offers meticulous elegance of the past with the comforts and luxurious amenities of today.
This home, ". . . the prettiest in the city" (Bellevue Gazette, 1908), was designed by the famous Fremont, Ohio architect, S. H. Shively, for Newton and Moina Greenslade. The Greenslades were prominent business and civic leaders, and board member's of the city's First National Bank, a present day thriving bank. The Bellevue Greenslades were not only banking entrepreneurs, but also military leaders, such as Admiral John W. Greenslade, who held various crucial WW II appointments, including Commandant of the Navy's Twelfth Naval District.
Our Inn features five bedrooms in four suites, and an extended-stay executive apartment, all appointed with genuine period antiques, hand woven oriental carpets, Victorian era and other fine furniture and each with a private bath. Your host has traveled across the country and internationally for nearly thirty years amassing a wonderful array of antiques for you to enjoy |

Tour the Inn
Additionally, our Inn provides several public areas. The Victorian Tudor Inn, while quite beautiful, is not a museum, and your host wants you to take pleasure in its offerings and functionally use and appreciate what it has to offer. Antique china, fine silver and sterling, and beautiful glass is used through out the day by our guests.
The Victorian Tudor Inn has two living rooms for guests to use. Both have impressive working fireplaces and contain significant antiques and oriental carpets. One is more formal with a large Empire sofa and a smaller Victorian love seat along with several unique sitting chairs. Wonderful vintage paintings grace the walls. The second living room is has majestic wood paneling going up the walls as well as wood beams in the ceiling. The antique Irish side board is full of English china and pottery from the 1800's. The couch is a wonderfully designed and comfortable present day U.S. made couch.
Our dining room is impressive. It contains wonderful built-in cabinets, a magnificent and large window seat and an amazing crystal chandelier. Also gracing this room is a civil war era marble top and intricately carved side board along with a Victorian marble top breakfast serving table, a vintage handmade dining table and chairs, and a mahogany Butler's table. This room also contains a portion of the owner's collection of antique glass and porcelain. One will also be struck by the paintings done on the ceiling of flowers and cherubs. Our guest will enjoy this room as they have their morning breakfast.
Reserved solely for guest use is the third floor exercise room which contains an upscale tread mill and elliptical bikes. An arts and crafts style desk is there for your use as well. In a separate room is our dedicated massage room. The walls of the stairs leading up to this room contain a portion of the owners large collection of 19th and early 20th Century Opera singer's pictures and autographs.
Our guest can take advantage of the upstairs public room that provides continuous treats for our visitors. This room contains an ice machine, microwave, and refrigerator. Complimentary bottles of water and soda are always stocked as are munchies.
Our wonderfully soothing hot tub room is available for guest use. If you would like we can reserve some private time for you to utilize this room. It also contains a flat screen LCD TV and a stereo.
Completed in Summer, 2007, is our "Hidden Garden". Nestled on the west side of the Inn the gardens are nicely secluded and surrounded by manicured trees and shrubs. Various flowers that bloom in the different seasons provide a plethora of color. A deck, with an early 20th Century wicker couch, greets your arrival to the gardens. Follow the beautifully laid brick path and you can also take advantage of a white antique wrought iron outdoor bench, table and chairs. A large Weber grill is on its own pad in the garden area and available for guests to use.
