The Inn was built by Colonel Joseph D. Taylor, who fought in the Civil War and served four terms in the U.S. Congress. Finished in 1878, the Inn features 21 rooms with 11 gas log fireplaces, 6 baths and 3 porches. The Grand foyer welcomes guests in regal style with its carved staircase and oak paneling, which accent the 11-foot ceilings, pocket doors, stained glass windows, and hardwood floors. The beautifully furnished Inn will enhance your visit to a more relaxed, elegant time.

We offer four spacious, comfortable second-floor bedrooms, each with a ceiling fan and fireplace. Each guest room has a queen-size four poster bed and a private bath.

One pair of adjoining rooms can be opened up as a suite with two beds. Robes & slippers are provided for your comfort. All the modern conveniences of today including central A/C. Cable television can be provided in the Lilac room.

A full scrumptious gourmet breakfast is served between 8:30 and 10:00 A.M. Tea and coffee are available all day. A warm welcoming snack awaits your arrival in the afternoon.

  • A deposit for the full amount of your stay is required to guarantee a reservation.

    Cancellations:
    If cancellation is received 15 days or more prior to your reservation, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
    If cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to arrival, you will be charged for your entire reservation unless it can be re-booked.
    If re-booked, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
    Cancellations must be made by speaking to an innkeeper and receiving a cancellation confirmation.
    We are not responsible for messages sent by email or left on voice mail..
