Our contemporary home
is large clean, fresh, and spacious
with 17 rooms on 3 floors.
The Candlelight Inn is located 1 block from the Atlantic
Ocean, 2 blocks from Narragansett’s beautiful mile long
town beach, which in addition to offering great family swimming, refreshments, cabanas,
boogey boarding, and kayaking, is known to be one of the best surfing beaches in New
England. Each September it is host to a highly regarded
half-Ironman competition.
Water views are available from 2 decks on the east end of
our house (2nd and 3rd floors) as well as from 7 rooms. Sunrise,
moonrise and full moon nights are wonderful sights. A short drive provides vantage points
for memorable sunsets, too, rare for the East Coast!
You may rent a whole suite or
choose from the 4-5 bedrooms available for guests
Please note, we never host more than 4 individual guests per night.
Thus, you can rest assured you will be given individual attention and have a guaranteed
seat at the breakfast table!
A unique offer: If you
wish to do your own cooking or have special dietary needs and requests, we are happy to
try to accommodate.
A Weber outdoor gas grill is available for your use.

- located where the old grand hotels once stood, across the street from Veterans’
Park and the historic "casino Towers" of yesteryear.
- in the heart of Narragansett. Enjoy jogging, running, walking, biking,
inline skating, shopping, dining, the beach, kayaking, canoeing, golf, tennis, boating
(1/2 mile from launch site) or just relax on our decks or in our yard.
- 1 block from the ocean, the "Towers," historic Coast Guard House restaurant,
Narragansett’s Chamber of Commerce and town gazebo, US Post Office, other casual and
upscale fine dining. You may even catch a concert at the gazebo across from the seawall or
on July 11, 2008, attend the free performance of the RI Philharmonic while you picnic on
the beach! Wed. & Thurs. nights you can dance (even take a lesson) at the Towers. Fri
& Sat nights you can sing-a-long at the Coast Guard House piano bar.
- 2 blocks from the library, ice cream, espresso & pastries, a surf & other local
retail shops, along with some of the best surfing, boogie-boarding, skimming, kayaking,
swimming and sunbathing on the East Coast.
- walking distance to the Dunes Club. You can walk a mile of beautiful sandy beach –
listen to the waves as the clear aqua Narragansett Bay tide comes in; find starfish, beach
glass, sea shells & beautiful smooth stones - or stroll the half mile of seawall (our
boardwalk) to the boat launch, clam shack and historic wishing well. We’re easy
walking distance to many restaurants, tennis, basketball, baseball, boating and fishing.
- driving distance to super markets, health food stores, movie theatre complex, shopping
centers, entertainment, artist community, galleries, golf, boating, canoeing, hiking,
bicycle shops (home of the Narragansett Wheelmen), the islands of Jamestown & Newport
(15 minutes), the ferry dock for Block Island, Westerly, Mystic, Providence (Waterfire!),
Boston, and the casinos - Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

- Note
: our entrances all have 7-10 steps.
- This is a large one family house structured like 3 condominiums. It is spacious, new,
clean, bright, cheerful, relaxing and fun.
- Each floor has fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers and garbage disposals;
comfortable, inviting living rooms (2 with fireplaces), TVs, board games and puzzles; all
bedrooms have ceiling fans and screened windows to welcome ocean breezes.
- The house also has 2 window air conditioners – just in case – but seldom
needed.
- Fees are calculated upon the selections you make and by your special requests.
A deposit, paid by check or money order, must be received as far in advance as
possible to hold specific date(s) for you. Your balance must be paid in full at least
14 days prior to your arrival. Later than that, in cash only,
immediately upon arrival.
- Our sizable corner lot (over 16,000 sq ft), is enclosed with a stone columned wrought
iron fence and offers plenty of parking. In addition, the large side yard can accommodate
lawn games. 2 garden hoses are available at all times for washing beach sand off toys,
feet, beach shoes and chairs. We have an outdoor clothesline for sandy wet beach towels
and swimsuits.
- We have a Weber gas grill on the 3rd floor deck for guests’ use.
A clothes washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, and steamer are available, as is the outdoor
clothesline.
All bed linens and bath towels are provided; hair dryers available.
The house has wireless cable Internet service.
Professional Massage Therapist appointments are available on or off site.
Ballroom dance lessons, meditation, wholistic theories, and expressive therapies are
available.
Musical instruments may be played along the waterfront or here, if other guests do not
mind – both must stop by a reasonable hour, usually 10 pm.A deposit, paid by check
