The IRON MOUNTAIN INN, set high in the Appalachian mountains of northeast Tennessee offers guests "seclusion, spectacular scenery and serenity" on 140 acres bordering the Cherokee National Forest and the Iron Mountain range.

Located in the triad, where North Carolina, Tennesse and Virginia meet, guests will find the spectacular scenery, friendly people and myriad outdoor activities the perfect recipe for a "natural vacation" or romantic getaway.

Home made cookies and refreshing drinks greet you on arrival at the Iron Mountain Inn as well as a warm welcome by the Innkeeper, Vikki Woods. After settling into your cozy comfortable room, perhaps you have time for a walk along one of the trails on the property returning to the Inn in time for a delicious dinner served under the stars in warm weather, or by the Great Room fire during cooler months.

Room Rates include 3 course breakfast, afternoon refreshments and the bottomless cookie jar filled with homemade cookies. Enjoy breakfast in our dining room, or if you prefer, have breakfast delivered to the privacy of your room for a small service fee. Dinner and lunches available with 24 hours notice for an additional fee.

We also cater to special diets: celiac, vegan, lactose intolerant, etc. Just let us know.

Iron Mountain Weddings

The Iron Mountain Inn Bed & Breakfast specializes in small intimate mountain weddings and elopements. Romantic, unique, traditional - your mountain wedding day belongs to you. Let us help you make it memorable. We suggest limiting the guest list to 20-25.

We can provide a variety of locations for your ceremony and reception on the property. Settings include in the Inn's Great Room for an intimate wedding party and guests, outside on the deck overlooking the mountains, and among the trees and gardens in the woods. We also can provide weddings on the lake, or on the shore around the lake.

When a wedding of over 10 guests is planned, we offer our special "planning weekend". This is when the bride and groom will come to the Inn to consult with the Innkeeper making sure all the details are just as they want them. That way, the day of the wedding the couple can relax and enjoy their friends and each other. The cost for this weekend is then deducted from the final cost of the wedding.

Quick Getaway Vacation

Arrive Friday night for dinner, enjoy the quiet of the evening as you pick out the stars in the clear night sky. Begin Saturday with breakfast in bed and after a day of hiking, swimming, golfing, antiquing or just relaxing, have dinner at the Inn with prior arrangment, or at a local restaurant. After dinner, return to the Inn to snuggle into bed made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, handmade quilts or down comforters. On Sunday, brunch is served later in the morning so enjoy this time to "be lazy". Let us pamper you.
