Cabin In The Woods

| The cabin is more like a cottage at 512 square feet plus
a 192 square foot covered porch.
We have a
living/dining room, bedroom, kitchen, and a bathroom. |

The
bedroom has the queen bed and a bunk bed, along with shelves, tables, and a ceiling fan. |
| While
the the cabin has no view of the lake, as it's about 350 yards from the Lakeside park, it
is nestled in it's own 1/2 acre private wooded area, with no other buildings, homes, or
cabins visible from the front deck. |

Please bring your own food, drinks, and drinking water. We have unfiltered well water,
which is safe to drink (as we do), but some people may not like the taste. You may also
want to bring your DVDs and CDs to play in the DVD player. Kids may want to bring swimming
and beach toys, and even bicycles. There is very little traffic in the neighborhood.
We supply bed linens, towels, toaster, coffee
maker, coffee, microwave, and cooking and eating utensils. We have a propane grill on the
covered porch. We also have a pretty good DVD collection, for both kids (G, PG), and
adults (PG-13).
Policies |
- Payment and Deposit Policy - 50% of the total rental amount will secure your
reservation. If you must cancel prior to two weeks before your reservation, we will refund
80% of your deposit. If you must cancel after that, we'll refund the deposit in proportion
to how many nights of your reservation that we can rent out to someone else, up to 80% of
your deposit. The balance of the rental payment is due on the day of your arrival, and may
be paid for before you arrive by credit card (Visa/MC) over the phone, or by check after
you arrive. Please call for details if paying by check at arrival.
- Minimum Stay - There is no minimum stay, except for a three night minimum on major
holidays.
- No Pets Policy - Although we understand that you may have the world's best behaved
little (or large) dog, we don't allow pets of any kind.
- The cabin has sleeping accommodations for four, but up to five people may stay
overnight. There is a charge of $10/day per person for more than four people staying
overnight. Please no more than four extra guests at any time. We allow no more than 2
adults, since we've found that more adults than this quite often leads to loud behavior,
and we like to keep it nice and quiet.
- Problems? - If you have any problems, complaints, or recommendations, please let us
know. We very much want a chance to take care of any problems quickly and implement
recommendations whenever possible.
- Damage Policy - We do not ask for a damage deposit. If significant damage occurs due to
the actions of a renter or anyone with them, we expect to be reimbursed for that.
- Please, no smoking inside the cabin. You may smoke on the covered porch.
