Described by Texas Highways Magazine as "Victorian Splendor", The Chaska House celebrates the joyous revival style and attitude that flourished in turn-of-the-century Waxahachie. National Register-listed, the Chaska House (c. 1900) features an extensive collection of period antiques assembled over many years by your hosts.
Guests may enjoy the fascinating library, grand hall, formal dining room, bustling kitchen, wrap-around verandah and tree-shaded grounds. All just a short stroll to the town square with its wondrous shops, excellent restaurants and magnificent courthouse that James Michener called "a fairy tale palace - one of the finest buildings in Texas".

Other Accommodations: The Retreat Suites are one bedroom guest quarters with a Key West flavor. Private and secluded just a few steps across the side street from The Chaska House. Both suites offer self-sufficient features including large living/dining areas, galley kitchens, TV/VCR, CD sound systems and private baths with whirlpools and showers.

For Weddings and Grand Parties: Completed in 1916 by J.F. Wyatt, the classic Prairie Style mansion has been carefully restored to provide a warm residential ambiance for grand parties. Elegantly appointed with classical art and functional period furnishings, the large rooms are easily decorated for any event. Covered verandahs and lighted, landscaped grounds provide an ideal setting for weddings, receptions and other social and business events lasting into the late evening. Wyatt events are limited to one function per day thus assuring your exclusive use of the mansion for any six hours of your choice.
Rogers Street Executive Guesthouse is designed to meet the temporary residence needs of business people and individuals in the Waxahachie area.
The Guesthouse is a newly restored 1914 Craftsman style Cottage in a quiet historic neighborhood. It is furnished with period antiques and accessories and fully equipped with modern conveniences for business-like comfort and efficiency. Each of the two bedrooms are reserved on an individual basis.
