Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast is an historic farm, circa 1805, on 47 rolling acres in the heart of Virginia horse, antiques, and wine country.

The Inn is located on Route 50 West, 4 miles east of Middleburg, 20 minutes from Dulles Airport, and 45 minutes from Washington, DC.

Stay in one of our eight bedrooms in the main house or combine two rooms to create your own private suite.

For even more privacy, stay in our fully equipped one-bedroom cottage.

A full breakfast is served 8:30 to 10:30 am on weekends and continental breakfast is provided weekdays in the large kitchen or outside on the patio weather permitting.

Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast offers complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon. Additional wines can be purchased from our wine list of imported, domestic, and local wines. With prior notice, we can arrange for on-site massages by a local masseuse.We can also provide kosher meals (including lunch and dinner) upon request.

Host your wedding, family celebration, business outing, or off-site retreat. Briar Patch is a great place for parties and special events.

Explore the historic towns of Aldie, Middleburg, and Leesburg brimming with antique shops and fine dining. Discover Civil War battlefields, shop at a nearby outlet mall, or sip Virginia wine at one of the nearby wineries. Sports fans will enjoy horseback riding at one of the local stables or farms, playing tennis, golf, or other sports, or hiking through the mountains.

Rates and Policies

Rates: High Season: (Apr 1 - Nov 30) $125 - $225
Winter Season (Dec 1 - Mar 31) $95 - $175Rates include full breakfast.
Rates do not include 4.5% Virginia sales tax and 5% Loudoun County occupancy tax.
Rooms are single or double occupancy; Suite and cottage rates are 4-person occupancy.
Additional persons: $20 per person per night.
Room rates subject to change without notice.
Discounts available for extended stays.
Check-in: 4:00 pm, earlier with prior arrangement. Check-out: noon.
A single night's stay deposit required upon reservation, preferably by credit card although personal checks acceptable. Final payment due upon departure.
Deposit returned if cancellation given with 10 days or more notice.
Cancellations less than 10 days before arrival date, deposit forfeited unless we re-book the room(s) or you wish to apply it to a future stay.
No shows charged the entire amount of reserved stay.
Weekends during high season, special events, and holidays may require 2-night minimum stay.
Responsible, parentally supervised children 8 or older welcome in main house. Children of any age welcome in cottage.
Dogs and cats can be accommodated for a minimal fee by prior arrangement.
Smoking is permitted in limited areas outside only, not including the pool area.
Rates negotiable for special events, with special discounts for non-profits, religious organizations, and government agencies.
