Island Manor House
Chincoteague Island's most Historic and Romantic Inn
One day a young lady came to visit from Baltimore and in due course the Postmaster
eventually fell in love and married her. Her sister came for a visit and, would you
believe, the Doctor married the sister. However, the two sisters did not enjoy living
under the same roof, so they split the house in half and moved the front half next door.
Today, after 150 years, the two houses have been joined together again with a large garden room, and they make up the 1848 Island Manor House. The houses have been beautifully restored and furnished in Federal style.
Our Bed and Breakfast is an
elegant, gracious Inn providing
comfort, hospitality and the best breakfast on the island.
1848 Island Manor House is just 5 minutes from beautiful Assateague National Seashore & Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy swimming, walking, hiking, bicycling, bird watching and a romantic picnic by the sea.
Your hosts, Sam and Lin Mazza provide a collection of antiques, comfortable furniture and art giving the Island Manor House a very charming and romantic ambiance.
