The Inn has a large yard with flower gardens and maple trees.

Rates and Policies

  • Rates:

    Regular Season
    		 $139.00-$159.00
    Peak Season
    (mid-September thru October and Special Event Weekends, & Holidays throughout the year)    		 $169.00-$189.00
    Extra Person (in Triple Room only) $20.00
    Extra Breakfast $15.00

    Reservations/Payment: To guarantee your reservations, a valid credit card is required. We prefer cash payment and also accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, or travelers' checks.

  • Cancellations/No Shows/Early Departures: We request at least 5 days' notice to cancel your room (14 days' notice required for peak season, holiday, special events and weddings). Otherwise, one half of the reservation total will be charged to the credit card on file. Guests who are "No Shows" or depart earlier than scheduled are responsible for the full amount of the reservation, including taxes.

  • Group Reservations:  We are happy reserve a block of rooms for your special occasion, whether it's for one day, a weekend, or longer; however, a non-refundable booking fee of $250.00 will be charged at the time of the reservation.  This is an administrative service charge to ensure your guarantee your block of rooms and will not be deducted from the reservation total. 

  • Smoking, etc: Due to the historic nature of our home and for the comfort of our guests and family, ours is a non-smoking Inn. Otherwise, a $250 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file. Also, while they can set a romantic mood, we ask that you do not burn candles our guest rooms.

  • Damages: We understand that accidents may happen, so please bring any damages to our attention as soon as possible. Any damages to furnishings or linens (including makeup, wine, or other stains), other than normal wear and tear, noticed during or within a day of your stay will incur an appropriate and reasonable repair or replacement fee, charged to the credit card on file. For your convenience, and to preserve our linens, disposable makeup remover cloths are furnished daily.

  • Children: Well-behaved children ages 6 and older are welcome. The Inn is not suitable for younger children.
  • Pets: No pets, please. We have a small, very friendly dog on-site, and we are happy to recommend boarding options in the local area.

Twelve miles east of Burlington and Lake Champlain, many recreational opportunities, including the Long Trail and other hiking/ walking trails, boating, fishing and swimming in area lakes, rivers and ponds, as well as both downhill and cross country skiing are within a few minutes drive.

There are back roads to explore by car or bicycle, snow mobile trails and snow shoeing trails within easy reach. Shopping for antiques, at the outlet stores, on the Church Street mail, and other the shopping malls are only a short drive away. Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms are less then twenty minutes away.

A full country breakfast featuring Vermont specialties (Harrington's bacon and sausage, local maple syrup and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters coffee) is served family style each morning in the sunny dining room.

The Inn will also host small meetings and conferences (up to 15 people) and provide meals for such meetings.

We invite you to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by....or curl up in a rocker and read that book you have been trying  to read.
