Chincoteague Island's most Historic and Romantic Inn
One day a young lady came to visit from Baltimore and in due course the Postmaster
eventually fell in love and married her. Her sister came for a visit and, would you
believe, the Doctor married the sister. However, the two sisters did not enjoy living
under the same roof, so they split the house in half and moved the front half next door.
Today, after 150 years, the two houses have been joined together again with a large garden
room, and they make up the 1848 Island Manor House. The houses
have been beautifully restored and furnished in Federal style.

Stroll along the boardwalk leading to Chincoteague's very own draw bridge. The innkeepers are happy to make dinner reservations, suggest activities and help plan those extra touches to make your stay so enjoyable. Fresh flowers and other goodies can be arranged for delivery prior to your arrival. Reservations for sight-seeing tours by land or sea may also be made for you, just let us know when making your reservation. |
