Ivy Creek Farm Bed and Breakfast is situated on 8 private wooded acres within the city of Lynchburg. It is just five minutes from colleges, shopping, restaurants, hospitals, and country clubs and fifteen minutes from the downtown historic Lynchburg. |

Surrounded by gardens, lawns, and trees, the setting belies
its convenient location. Deer, birds and other wild life abound. The pond and old farm
dependencies- red barn, smoke house, and springhouse, add charm and character to the
peaceful and gracious experience.
The home has experienced many changes over the years, including the addition of the indoor
heated swimming pool, lap lane, and spa that is open for our guests.
The exterior is framed with stately old English Boxwood, frontal columns and gable roof lines. Inside are plaster walls, heart pine floors, fireplaces and a turret that once housed the "dumb waiter" from the old basement kitchen.

Public rooms and bedrooms are furnished with antiques and period furnishings and floors are graced with Oriental carpets. The front parlor and the library, each with a fireplace, are comfortable places for you to lounge and listen to music, connect wirelessly to the Internet, read or socialize. They are also large enough for small family gatherings. |
Antique pewter and porcelain decorations adorn the dining room, which serves as the center hub of the house. Breakfast in front of the fireplace is casual and inviting. The distinctive swimming pool room, with its brick floor, redwood ceiling beams and Palladian windows, opens onto spacious verandas with wonderful views of the woods, pond and old farm dependencies. There is even a full-size softball field!
Ivy Creek Farm B&B offers three inviting, spacious bedrooms, each with a private bath, queen- size bed and generous amenities. Each room has a unique ambience and is furnished with antiques and reproduction period furniture that provide both comfort and elegance.

The rooms, all centrally air conditioned, are named for neighboring historic country properties, Ivy Creek and Locust Thicket Plantations owned by Major Samuel Scott and Poplar Forest, property and retreat of Thomas Jefferson.
Each day we prepare an extravagant multi-course breakfast for you.
Afternoon wine and refreshments are included in the price of the room and are served from about 4pm to 6pm.
